Conference disseminating the results of the FORhesIT project

On February 27, Łukasiewicz – Institute of Exploitation Technology in Radom hosted a conference entitled “Create your future with FORESIGHT methods”, summarizing the international FORhesIT project. The conference was a summary of two years of cooperation between partner institutions from Poland (Łukasiewicz-ITeE Research Network – leader, Bialystok University of Technology, IMD Pawelec Marcin IT company) and Norway (Teknologirådet).

Topics of the meeting included methodological issues related to foresight and its application in building a vision of the future of the labor market and careers. The key objective of the conference was to present the IT tool CREATE THE FUTURE, developed by the Project Partnership. Participants had the opportunity to learn about its functionality, as well as a unique chance to participate in workshops using the tool, with the participation of its developers. The creation of the IT tool CREATE THE FUTURE, is co-financed by funds from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Grants.

The conference was attended by more than 50 people in total, including career counselors representing various types of institutions providing counseling services, academics, lecturers from higher education institutions (including Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, Radom University, A. Mickiewicz University in Poznan), and students. Participants expressed appreciation for the potential of the CREATE THE FUTURE tool, in particular for the possibility of its use in training and consulting services, didactics, research work on forecasting the development of competences, and in planning a personal development, for example, by students or graduates of high schools and universities.

During the ForhesIT Project Partnership meeting accompanying the conference, possibilities for continued cooperation were discussed, including further development of the CREATE THE FUTURE tool.
