MISKN “Statistics in Everyday Life”

The aim of the conference is to create an opportunity to present scientific achievements, research results, and to exchange experiences related to the use of statistical tools. The conference is addressed to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.

Participants will be able to present their achievements in the use of statistical tools in various areas, such as

• Humanities
• Engineering and Technical Sciences
• Medical and Health Sciences
• Agricultural Sciences
• Social Sciences
• Natural and Exact Sciences
• Theological Sciences

The conference will be held on May 9, 2025, in a hybrid format.
Active participation requires registration by filling out the participation form and submitting it along with an abstract by April 17, 2025, via the following form:

Students participating (registered) in the conference will receive certificates of attendance.
Abstracts (in both Polish and English) of the submitted presentations, prepared according to the provided template:

will be published in the conference materials distributed on the day of the event.

Articles sent to the organizers’ email by May 15, 2025, that meet editorial guidelines (https://wiz.pb.edu.pl/akademia-zarzadzania/dla-autorow/) and receive positive reviews, will be published in the journal “Academy of Management”.
Participation in the conference and publication of articles is free of charge.

As part of the conference, we invite you to participate in the second edition of the “Statistics in Photography” photography contest. The theme of the Contest is to present and promote the applications of statistics in photography, including data, graphs, and statistical analyses integrated with surroundings or everyday life.

The subject of the Contest is photographs creatively interpreting the theme ‘Statistics in Photography’, submitted by students.

Awarded and distinguished works will be published on the website of the Faculty of Engineering Management of Bialystok University of Technology (https://wiz.pb.edu.pl/). The vernissage of the exhibition of awarded works and the prize ceremony will take place in the main hall of the Faculty of Engineering Management (Berlin Building), ul. Ojca S. Tarasiuka 2, 16-001 Kleosin.

The contest is open only to first and second cycle students and doctoral candidates from various universities. Each participant may submit a maximum of three photos.

Schedule:

• Submission deadline: April 30, 2025
• Jury appointment and photo evaluation: May 9, 2025
• Award ceremony and vernissage: May 9, 2025

Only printed versions will be evaluated. Electronic versions of the photos and descriptions must also be sent to: wiz.konferencjaiskn@pb.edu.pl.

Participation in the contest is tantamount to acceptance of these regulations.
