Success of the Team from the Department of Production Management at an international scientific conference
28-06-2022Last month, a team of employees from the Department of Production Management participated in the 7th International Scientific and Technical Conference ‘MANUFACTURING 2022’, organised at Poznan University of Technology. For years, the conference has attracted a great deal of interest from scientists from all over the world, representing both the disciplines of technical sciences and management and quality sciences. It also creates a platform for collaboration with practitioners from business.
The conference featured nine thematic sessions on production tools and systems that can be used in the digital age. In the session entitled ‘Sustainability on Production in the aspect of Industry 4.0’, Assoc. Prof. Wiesław Urban, DSc, PhD, Eng, Elżbieta Krawczyk-Dembicka, PhD, Eng and Krzysztof Łukaszewicz, PhD, Eng, delivered their papers.
Their presentations entitled ‘Product co-design supported by Industry 4.0 in customised manufacturing’ and ‘Development process of customised products, supported by technologies, a case of tailor-made furniture’ met with great interest from conference participants and triggered very interesting discussions. Their papers were also recommended by the conference’s Scientific Committee for publication in a renowned scientific journal.
Klaudia Tomaszewska, MSc, who, under the watchful eye of Prof. Wiesław Urban, prepared a paper entitled ‘Production flow between workstations using the workstations’, was successful in her debut at the conference. “Production flow between workstations using the Kanban & DBR methods – comparative study”. She had the opportunity to present the results of her work to the conference participants during a poster session, which resulted in “The best poster award”.
Congratulations to the whole team! We wish every success!
